This 3.5-hour webinar shall elucidate Bornstein’s (2017) evidence-based psychological assessment (EBPA) in the practice of the 6-step rational approach to designing and planning psychological screening assessments. Principles in evidence-based practices in psychology guide the discussion of the approach in the example of doing psychological screening of children and adolescents. This illustration highlights the application, implications, and challenges in doing psychological screening in the Philippine setting.
At the end of this 3.5-hour seminar-workshop, the participants would be able to:
1. Identify the 6-step rational approach to designing and planning psychological screening assessments;
2. Explain how evidence-based psychological assessment is embedded in the outlined steps in designing and planning psychological screening; and
3. Discuss the applications, challenges and issues of the 6-step approach discussed.
